Crew Driving Instructions
Rattlesnake Bar
After the start, turn left out of the school parking lot on Fuller Drive. Make a right at the signal (Auburn-Folsom Rd). Proceed 10 miles to Newcastle Rd. and turn right. Follow Newcastle to Rattlesnake Bar Rd. through the kiosk. At the first dirt road intersection, go right and drive very slowly as this road can be very bumpy. Proceed about ½ mile to the aid station lot at the Rattlesnake Bar Horse Assembly.
Auburn Dam Overlook
If you are coming from the Rattlesnake Bar aid station, return to Auburn-Folsom Rd. and turn right. Proceed 4 miles to Pacific Ave. in Auburn and turn right. Follow Pacific to the Auburn Dam Overlook parking lot. We encourage you to park in the main paved lot and walk down to the Horse Staging area where the aid station will be located.
From I-80 West, take the Indian Hill exit at Newcastle. Proceed to Auburn-Folsom Rd. and turn left. Proceed to Pacific Ave. in Auburn and turn right. Follow Pacific to the Auburn Dam Overlook parking lot.
From I-80 East, take the Newcastle exit, which is approximately two miles west of Auburn. Go straight at the traffic signal, this will put you on Indian Hill Road. Go up Indian Hill Road for approximately two miles to the signal light. Turn left on Auburn-Folsom Road. Follow Auburn-Folsom Road to Pacific Avenue. Turn right on Pacific Avenue and follow it approximately one mile to the Auburn Overlook (large parking lot on your right).
No-Hands Bridge
From the Auburn Dam Overlook, take Pacific Street back to Auburn-Folsom Road and make a right. Make a right on High Street and follow through downtown. Follow signs for 49 down in to the canyon. This is a very windy road, please drive safe. Make a right at the bridge. Parking is limited. Please pull of the road entirely or there is a Auburn State Recreation Area Parking lot on your left. Please use caution when crossing the road.
